ha, never a doubt in my mind that the Sox had that one well in hand…no fetal position necessary.

After the 8th I turned off the computer and got ready for bed as I continued to watch so that I could turn the TV off right when Posada’s game ending pop fly hit Bay’s glove.

Some of us have jobs.

And mine requires me to wake up at 4:10am.

(Boston has the #1 bullpen in the MLB, New York is going to have to grind it out the next three innings if they want to end this slide against the Sox).

Hughes works around a walk, Sox strand one and again fail to pull away from the Yankees…something that may come back to haunt them if they’re not careful.

Got a life, just happens to be one that is consumed by the sport of baseball, as sad as that may be.

Yankees in the top of the 6th:

Yankees get a hit but strand him at first failing to follow up an impressive 5th inning with any success.

Wakefield, much like Hughes in the inning prior to this, came through in a big way to silence any potential rally/momentum swing.

Heading into the bottom of the 6th, it remains NYY 3 Bos 6.
