Detroit Pistons lose prestige, thrown out of Palace, forced to roam streets

What happened to the Detroit Pistons? They were just dismantled by LBJ and the Cavs and have only chalked up 5 W’s in their last 20 games. Currently they are 7th in the Eastern Conference, but at this pace, the Redd-less and Bogut-less Milwaukee Bucks are going to squeeze into that 7 spot and the Pistons could be ousted by Chicago, New Jersey, New York, Indiana etc..
How does a team with players like Allen Iverson, Richard Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace and Tayshaun Prince play so poorly? I guess I can answer my own question… Iverson has some impressive career stats (27 pts and 6 assists per game), but is not a proven winner. Rip Hamilton and his mask have been progressively getting worse (just lost his starting job to Rodney Stuckey), and ‘Sheed, well, Rasheed just doesn’t give a shit about anything. I take that back, I guess he’s worried about a couple things… hittin’ his bong after the game and getting T’d up (holds the record for most technical fouls in a regular season – 41; or 1 every 2 games). As for Tayshaun, all I have to say is this; Pick your god damn head up and stop dragging your feet around, you make me depressed just watching you mope around.
I think Detroit’s problem is leadership. After dealing Chauncey Billups to the Nuggets they don’t really have anyone taking control of the squad. They need to get more verbal. The 2nd year player Rodney Stuckey isn’t going to step up as the leader right away. AI hasn’t stepped up into the ‘leader of the team’ role, but how can he when he is playing with players who have a championship under their belt, or when he is missing practice? I don’t think ‘Rip’ can talk through that hideous beard and mask, we know Tayshaun’s not speaking a word and the only thing coming out of Rasheed’s mouth are swear words and marijuana smoke. Also, Michael Curry has got to go. I understand why they didn’t want to screw things up with a tight playoff race, so I’ll give him until the end of the season, after they blow their shot at the post season.
The Detroit Pistons have several issues to address if they want to get back to Championship caliber team.
