KG likely to miss playoffs: GM Danny Ainge suffers heart attack
Bob on 04 16, 2009
It was announced earlier today that Kevin Garnett is likely to miss the playoffs. I wonder if the Celtics are concerned…Well, they most definitely are. Celtics GM Danny Ainge suffered a minor heart attack. Coincidence?
Although it’s not good news to hear about anyone having a heart attack, I find this somewhat amusing, only for the reason that Ainge is recovering nicely. If he was in rough shape, I wouldn’t find the situation the least bit funny. Call me an asshole, demented, what have you, but there is some humor to this. People joke about having heart attacks in these types of situations, but this time, it actually happened. KG’s injury has got to have something to do with Ainge’s minor heart attack.
Without KG, the Celtics’ chances of repeating are slim. They might struggle to make it out of the first round. The ‘Big Ticket’ is the leader of the team, and his absence is enormous.
The GM is reportedly doing well, which is great to hear. Can you imagine if Paul Pierce went down with an injury though? Danny Ainge might drop dead on spot!
