Quentin Richardson has been passed around more times than Paris Hilton

Quentin Richardson has been traded 4 times this offseason. In about 7 weeks. He was a Knick, and got traded to the Grizzlies. Then he got dealt to the Clippers. Next, the Timberwolves acquired him. Now, he’s just been traded to the Heat. This has got to be some kind of a record. How funny is this?! Has any single player been at the center of more salary dumps? He’s been passed around more times than Paris Hilton. Some of the guys he was traded for were Darko Milicic, Zach Randolph, Sebastian Telfair, Mark Madsen, Craig Smith, and Mark Blount. Quality Guys! Quentin, what happened to you? Do you have some kind of contagious disease? Colon problems like Dajuan Wagner? Missing ACL’s like Dejuan Blair? Brandy can’t be happy with all this relocation, Quentin. Let’s just rename the game “Hot Potato” to “Q-Rich”.
Maybe Richardson needs a name change. Or maybe he just needs to end his obsession with the 3 point line. Jim Jackson, Heads up! Tony Massenburg, Look Alive! Damon Jones, Wake up! All of your “most teams played for” records are in serious jeopardy with Quentin still employed by the NBA. Come on, Quentin, you can do it, play for all 30 teams! Only 23 to go! You’ve got plenty of good years left in the tank! I can envision him sticking around the NBA for a long time, signing one year contract after one year contract just to rack up more money, and add to that already impressive resume of 7 teams. In all seriousness, I think if Q-Rich had won a title with the Suns, he would be looked at differently. People would view him as a great role player on a title team, and a winner. Instead, he’s just seen as a selfish gunner, evidenced by the fact that nobody actually views him as an asset to their team, but more of an expiring contract. A round of applause, everyone, for Quentin Richardson: providing NBA fans more offseason entertainment than we could’ve ever hoped for!
