The Final Four: NFL Conference Championship Preview

Jets @ Colts: Sunday 3:00pm ET

Wait, the Jets are still in the playoffs?  Seriously?  Okay, they have a great defense, and run the ball well.  However, I think the Colts are going to put them in their place.  The Jets did only make the playoffs because the Colts pulled their starters against them in week 16.  The Colts will remind them of that.  A rookie is not going to ruin Peyton Manning’s opportunity to go to his 2nd Super Bowl.  It’s not going to happen.  If Darrelle Revis covers Reggie Wayne, then we’ll see a lot of Dallas Clark.  The Jets’ defense is being talked about a lot, but the Colts have a very fast defense that could present a lot of problems for the Jets.  Although the Colts have had some pretty impressive choke jobs in the past, I don’t think they mess this up. My pick:  The Colts.  If all else fails, just put a plate of chicken wings in front of Rex Ryan, and he should be distracted for long enough for the Colts to come up with the victory.

Vikings @ Saints:  Sunday 6:40pm ET

This is the game most people wanted to see heading down the stretch of the season.  They’ve been the two NFC dome team powerhouses, and I’m sure this game will be fantastic.  It’s weird because Adrian Peterson hasn’t had a 100 yard rushing game in quite some time, so they’re kind of relying on Favre at this point.  I think Peterson’s rattled at all the “Chris Johnson is now the best running back in football” talk.  Peterson probably cries himself to sleep… Anyways, the Saints are playing fantastic, and Reggie Bush is a major X factor.  Sometimes Reggie Bush has a little Barry Sanders in him, and… sometimes he has a little Mike Bell in him.  Which one will we see this weekend?  My pick:  the Saints.  Drew Brees is too good.  It’s that simple.  Sorry Brett, go away, retire, for the love of god.

Yeah, a Saints/Colts Super Bowl could be unbelievable.  Two gunslingers going at it.  Lots of points.  Don’t screw this up for me, Bretty & the Jets.
