Something had to be done to change the atmosphere of losing. I agree they probably could have held on to one or two key pieces of the puzzle, but at what cost? Since Jack Wilson and Freddy Sanchez couldn't get over their man crushes on eachother, They would have had to keep both of them, which pretty much guarantees that the rest of them are gone. So you have a solid infield to back up crappy pitching and no power at the plate. There's really no good answer for the Pirates. We'll just have to wait and see if the prospects pan out. If they do, this looks like a great move.
